Kathy Kinsella, President of League of Women Voters Greater Verde Valley, will be leading the discussion.
Because we want you should join us, we thought it would be fun to challenge you to come again during a lazy summer day and share your thoughts and insights regarding the news of the day. We have decided to cancel our monthly meetings at the Cottonwood Library (the monthly NAZCCA meeting will continue to be held at the Library on the 1st Saturday of each month from 12:30-1:45). Thanks to all who have attended in the past.
Moving forward we will be using this email list to share important information with you on actions you can take to help restore our Constitution and democracy to our nation.
The MOST important thing you can do right now is encourage all of your friends and family (regardless of where they live) to register to vote and vote in the upcoming primaries and general election in November. And make sure you are registered to vote and that you cast your ballot in these so very important elections. This is the best way that you can make your voice heard.

MoveOn has launched an ambitious program for the 2018 election cycle, targeting state and local races in over thirty states. We’ve endorsed 110 progressive champions across the country, running for a wide range of offices, from lieutenant governor and attorney general, to state House and Senate, down to mayor and city commissioner. We’re rebuilding the Democratic Party bench from the local, grassroots level, all the way to the state capitol.
This is where we need your help!
On October 13 and 14, MoveOn will be hosting a State & Local Weekend of Action for our members to volunteer with one of our endorsed candidates! You’ll get the chance to help out on the ground with a nearby MoveOn-endorsed candidate and meet other MoveOn volunteers and campaign volunteers. The actual tasks will vary, but they will likely include something along the lines of door knocking, phone banking, and/or postcard writing.
