Dear Friend,
We have decided to cancel our monthly meetings at the Cottonwood Library (the monthly NAZCCA meeting will continue to be held at the Library on the 1st Saturday of each month from 12:30-1:45). Thanks to all who have attended in the past.
Moving forward we will be using this email list to share important information with you on actions you can take to help restore our Constitution and democracy to our nation.
The MOST important thing you can do right now is encourage all of your friends and family (regardless of where they live) to register to vote and vote in the upcoming primaries and general election in November. And make sure you are registered to vote and that you cast your ballot in these so very important elections. This is the best way that you can make your voice heard.
You can also continue to write, text, fax, email your Members of Congress and let them know how you feel about specific issues. One way of doing this is to text the word RESIST to the number 50409.
Shelley

Felicia French for LD6: Flagstaff Day of Action
WHEN Saturday, October 13, 10:00 AM
WHERE Coconino Co. Dem. Party HQ @ The Historic Ice House in Flagstaff, AZ
Help build progressive power!
Yes! I’ll be there.
MoveOn has launched an ambitious program for the 2018 election cycle, targeting state and local races in over thirty states. We’ve endorsed 110 progressive champions across the country, running for a wide range of offices, from lieutenant governor and attorney general, to state House and Senate, down to mayor and city commissioner. We’re rebuilding the Democratic Party bench from the local, grassroots level, all the way to the state capitol.
This is where we need your help!
On October 13 and 14, MoveOn will be hosting a State & Local Weekend of Action for our members to volunteer with one of our endorsed candidates! You’ll get the chance to help out on the ground with a nearby MoveOn-endorsed candidate and meet other MoveOn volunteers and campaign volunteers. The actual tasks will vary, but they will likely include something along the lines of door knocking, phone banking, and/or postcard writing.
I can’t make it, but I’d like to learn more …
Hello!
Please set aside Sunday afternoon October 14th to meet Gene McCarthy and Al Comello who are running to serve on the Sedona Fire Board. There are three openings in the upcoming November 6th election and your vote and your contribution are needed to win!

LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS GREATER VERDE VALLEY
TO HOST BALLOT PARTIES AS PART OF VOTER EDUCATION PROGRAM
The League of Women Voters of Greater Verde Valley (LWVGVV) is launching a major voter education effort in advance of the General Election November 6.
LWVGVV will host a series of “Ballot Parties” as part of the League’s public information and voter education services. The parties provide an opportunity for voters to review election ballots and discuss non-partisan information about the offices and propositions facing voters. Special attention will be given to the five statewide and numerous local ballot propositions. Parties will be hosted by League members, and give attendees an opportunity to ask questions and examine these propositions more fully before casting their votes.
“This is a challenging time for Arizona voters,” remarked Kathy Kinsella, LWVGVV president. “In addition to numerous offices and candidates on the ballot — at all levels from federal to local — there are numerous ballot propositions to consider. Participating thoughtfully in the General Election is a vital part of making a difference in one’s community and state. The League of Women Voters Greater Verde Valley (LWVGVV) is here to help voters prepare to cast their votes.”
LWVGVV will host Ballot Parties in the Verde Valley during the weeks leading into the election. Parties will be held in private homes and in the following public venues:
