Arizona PBS, in partnership with The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com, is hosting the only live television debate between U.S. Senate candidates Martha McSally and Kyrsten Sinema on Monday, Oct. 15, at 6 p.m.

The hourlong debate will cover local and national issues. McSally, a two-term congresswoman from Tucson, and Sinema, a three-term congresswoman from Phoenix, are competing for an open seat in the U.S. Senate. Incumbent Jeff Flake has declined to seek a second term.

Because of the debate, PBS NewsHour will air at 5 p.m.

“Arizona Horizon” host Ted Simons and Arizona Republic/azcentral.com reporter Maria Polletta will serve as moderators for the debate.

The public can watch the debate live on Arizona PBS at 6 p.m. as well as at www.azpbs.org. The debate will air again at 10 p.m. on Arizona PBS.
