Greetings political film fans, as promised, we’re watching a political comedy this time around. Join us for a discussion of Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (Available on Amazon)
In keeping with Academy Award nominees, Maria Bakalova has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Borat’s erratic but sweet daughter, Tutar. The film has also received a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. Matt Zoller Seitz called the film a “deliciously unstable comedy” in his RogerEbert.com review READ REVIEW While reviews are mixed, Nicholas Barber, writing for BBC, asserts, “But be patient: the last half hour of Subsequent Moviefilm has enough fine material to make it all worthwhile” READ REVIEW
